Esoterica #1 - Original Painting

The first painting in a collection of five contemporary abstract works, 'Esoterica #1' visually represents excitement and anticipation for the creative process. As the initial piece in the series, it features energetic and vibrant colors, sharp and fluid brushstrokes, as well as blurred sections, giving it a frenetic, almost restless quality. The painting seems to thrive on a diet of dash-cam footage and adrenaline. As this was my first foray into creating artworks in a massive open-plan studio, the energy was limitless.

The original intent for the Esoterica collection was to simply name each work as it was created. However, it soon became clear that the paintings, while distinct, all stem from a common wellspring - the artist's inner thoughts and perspectives seeking expression in the external world.
